When we decided to head north Gursi suggested we should pass by Chandighar, a city about 3 hours north from Delhi, where his friend Karan was going to be our host.
Karan gave us again a very warm welcome and introduced us to his friends and family at once.

Chandighar is a very interesting city to visit in India, mainly to see its contrasts... It’s the opposite of New Delhi: organised, clean, with clearly marked roads and traffic rules that people try to respect. The city was planned by a French architect, which explains the massive amount of roundabouts!
Here you can find the place where the rich ones choose to live. Massive mansions with its Lamborginis, Ferraris and own armed forces... NOT NECESSARY!
Maybe this is why we didn’t find a comfortable place to chill, it seemed that everything was a bit exclusive with no place for simple things… Young locals tend to spend hours on the car just driving around, the way our parents used to drive us around the city to get us asleep. This gave us the chance to see the entire city and it’s surroundings.
A funny one of the visit was when we went to one of Karan’s friends place, as per Karan’s description, a “hardcore Shiva fanatic”. Maybe not the one we expected but a good first approach… The room full of Shiva posters, plus some Mickey Mouse and some 2010 life targets, worth the read!
Rosu and Guaton were also there and offered us a lift to their hometown Jalandar, getting closer to our final destination: Dharamshala. Road trip!
Special thanks to Rosu who invited us to his place and helped us arrange our train journey to Pathankot, last train station before Dharamshala.
